Introduction

At Linko ("we," "our," or "us"), safeguarding your personal information is of utmost importance to us. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is respected and protected when you use our services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, store, share, and use your data when you access and interact with the Linko mobile application.

We understand the value of your personal data and aim to be transparent about our practices. As we continually strive to improve our platform and services, we may periodically update this policy to enhance the security of your information, reflect new legal requirements, or address any changes in our business practices. We will notify you of any significant changes, but we encourage you to regularly review this policy to stay informed about how your data is being handled.

By using our services, you explicitly agree to the collection, processing, storage, sharing, and other uses of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. We are dedicated to providing you with a secure and trustworthy experience, and this policy is designed to inform you about what data we collect, how it is used, and what rights you have over your information.

We value your trust, and your privacy is a top priority. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy or our practices, we encourage you to contact us. Thank you for using Linko, and we appreciate your continued trust in our services.

Information We May Collect

When you download and register for the Service on your device, Linko may collect personal information during the setup process, as requested from you. To create an account with Linko, you’ll need to provide details such as your mobile number, email address, city, gender, and name, depending on the device(s) you’re using. You can also choose to share additional personal information, but this is optional. If you log in using your Facebook account, we may gather further details you’ve made available to us (see “Your User Profile” below for more details).

Additionally, during the installation and registration process, Linko may ask for permission to access your device’s address book. If you agree, we’ll collect contact information stored in your address book, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, and Facebook IDs (but not personal notes or other sensitive details). This information will be stored on our servers and used to enhance your experience with the Service.

Linko may also collect non-personal information, such as your country of residence and preferences. We may gather data about how you and others interact with the Service and our websites, including matches, match durations, messages, geographic usage, device and connection details, IP addresses, device capabilities, bandwidth, page views, network types, and traffic statistics.

The Service allows you to share messages, photos, screenshots, videos, and other content with other users. If you choose to share such content, it will be stored on our servers. Once shared, we may not be able to remove this content from our servers or make it inaccessible to those you’ve shared it with. By deciding to share this information, you acknowledge that you may lose control over how it’s used, and it could become publicly available depending on your actions or the actions of others. Linko is not responsible for any misuse of the information you share.

If you make a purchase in the Linko item shop, you’ll need to provide payment details, such as your credit card number, expiration date, CVV code, and billing address. This information is securely sent to a third-party vendor(e.g.Google Play or App Store)for processing. Linko does not store or process your payment information, but we may keep records of your transaction details, such as the merchant’s name, date, time, amount, and other related information.

To improve the Service, we collect error-reporting information if the app crashes or freezes. These reports typically don’t include personal information, or only do so incidentally. They may contain details about your device type, version, identifier, the time of the error, the feature in use, and the app’s state at the time of the error. This data is used solely to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring a better experience in future updates.

2.How We Use Your Data Information

2.1 Purposes

We may use your information for the following purposes:

2.2 Transfer and Storage

By using Linko, you agree that your personal information may be transferred to and stored in locations both within and outside your country or region. This transfer is necessary to provide the services described in this Privacy Policy. Your data may be processed in places where privacy laws differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take steps to ensure your information is protected, no matter where it is stored or processed. This includes using safeguards like encryption and secure servers to keep your data safe. By continuing to use Linko, you acknowledge and accept these practices.

2.3 Security Measures We Take To Protect Your Information

At Linko, we take your privacy seriously and use a combination of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls to ensure your data is handled safely.

However, no security system is completely foolproof, and no method of transmitting or storing data can guarantee absolute protection. While we work hard to keep your information secure, we cannot eliminate all risks entirely.

If a security breach occurs and your personal information is compromised, we will act quickly to address the issue. If required by law, we will notify you promptly and provide details about the incident, the steps we’ve taken to resolve it, and how you can protect yourself.

By using Linko, you acknowledge that while we strive to protect your information, no system is entirely risk-free. We encourage you to take steps to safeguard your account, such as using strong passwords and keeping your login details private.

3.How We Share Information

We may share your personal information with third parties in the following situations:

These practices help us provide and improve Linko while ensuring your information is handled responsibly. If you have questions about how your data is shared, feel free to contact us.

4.Data Security and Storage

At Linko, we use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized changes. These measures include encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls to keep your data safe.

However, it’s important to understand that no system for transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee it will always be 100% secure. By using Linko, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks in sharing and storing data online.

We may keep the information we collect for as long as necessary, but we do not commit to storing it for any specific period. This means your data could be retained indefinitely, depending on our operational needs and legal requirements.

If you have any concerns about how your information is protected or stored, please reach out to us. Your trust is important to us, and we’re here to address your questions.

5.How to Delete Your Account and Data

If you decide to stop using Linko or want to permanently remove all content you’ve uploaded, published, or generated, you can cancel your account using the account deletion feature provided in the app. Once your account is deleted, all content and data associated with it—such as your real name, profile picture, nickname, photo albums, posts, signatures, email, IP address, activity logs, chat history, login details, and other related information—will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

Here’s how you can delete your data or permanently remove your account and everything tied to it:

  1. Delete Specific Content: If you only want to remove a specific piece of content you’ve uploaded or published, you can do so directly within the app.
  2. Permanently Delete Your Account: To completely delete your account and all associated data, go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Follow the prompts to confirm the deletion.

Please note that once your account is deleted, all data will be permanently removed, and this action cannot be undone. Make sure to back up any important information before proceeding.

6.Update of this Privacy Policy

We are always exploring new and creative ways to help you build meaningful connections, and this policy may evolve over time. If any major changes are made, we will notify you in advance so that you have the opportunity to review them.

For significant updates, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and may also send you additional notifications through our app or by email.

We recommend that you check this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. By continuing to use our services after changes are posted, you accept those changes.

7.Children’s Privacy

Linko is restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not allow individuals under 18 to use our platform, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below this age.

If you believe a user is under 18, please report them using the tools provided within the app. If we discover that someone under 18 has registered on Linko and provided personal data, we will take immediate action to remove their account and delete their profile information from our system.

In cases where an account is deleted for violating this rule, we may keep basic account details to prevent the user from creating a new profile and bypassing our age restrictions. This helps us maintain a safe and compliant environment for all users.

Your cooperation in reporting underage users is essential to keeping our community secure and age-appropriate.

8.Third-Party SDKs

Our product integrates third-party SDKs (Software Development Kits) or similar tools to enhance functionality. By using these services, you agree to their data collection and processing practices, which may involve methods like code embedding or widget integration. These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, which are independent of ours.

We carefully assess these third-party providers to ensure they comply with legal requirements and meet our security standards. However, since they are external services, their data handling practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

To help safeguard your personal information, we recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party SDKs before using them.
